Gas detector WG-61.EGx – reliable protection against refrigerant leaks
The WG-61.EGx detector is an autonomous device designed for continuous monitoring of refrigerant (HFC, Freons) in enclosed spaces. Its task is to quickly detect potential leaks, which is crucial for safety and environmental protection. Control is carried out by periodically measuring the gas concentration in the air, and when defined thresholds are exceeded, the detector activates optical and acoustic signaling and activates control outputs.
Application and areas of use
The WG-61.EGx detector finds wide application in places where refrigeration or air conditioning equipment is present, such as:
- rooms with air conditioning and refrigeration equipment,
- refrigeration machine rooms (e.g. in agricultural farms),
- cold storage rooms for food,
- garages and underground parking lots (in the context of ventilation systems),
- vehicle inspection stations (exhaust control).
Thanks to its reliability and measurement accuracy, this detector is ideal for both professionals servicing refrigeration systems and end-users who care about safety in their facilities.
Design and functionality
The WG-61.EGx detector has been designed with ease of use and reliability in mind. It has a built-in microprocessor that controls all device functions, ensuring stable operation and measurement accuracy. A replaceable gas sensor enables easy and inexpensive operation – sensor replacement does not require specialized knowledge or tools. The device offers three programmable alarm thresholds and three NO-type switching outputs, allowing integration with external alarm systems or ventilation control. Additionally, the detector has a built-in sounder and the possibility of connecting an external 12V=/80mA siren. A solid, splash-proof housing (IP54) provides protection against moisture and mechanical damage. It is worth paying attention to the calibration of the device – 1000/2000/2500 ppm R410A – which guarantees precise detection of even low concentrations of refrigerant.
Important: Remember the correct location of the detector – mounting should be on the wall, at a height of no more than 30 cm above the floor level (refrigerant is heavier than air) and in a place away from sources of interference and direct sunlight.
