Carbon dioxide detector – reliable air quality control

The WG-8R8.EGx/A24 gas detector is an advanced device designed for continuous monitoring of carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration in indoor environments. It utilizes proven infrared (IR) measurement technology, ensuring accuracy and stability of readings. Thanks to the possibility of calibration at three levels (1000/1400/1800 ppm), the detector can be adapted to the specific requirements of a given application.

Functionality and application

The WG-8R8.EGx/A24 detector finds wide application in places where control of CO2 concentration is crucial for safety and comfort. It is ideal for:

• closed garages and underground parking lots – controlling ventilation systems,
• solid fuel boiler rooms – monitoring CO2 emissions during combustion,
• rooms with air conditioning and refrigeration units – ensuring adequate air quality,
• cold storage rooms for food products – controlling CO2 concentration generated by products,
• rooms with oxygen therapy or HFNO devices - ensuring patient safety.

The device has three programmable alarm thresholds and three NO relay outputs, enabling integration with external alarm or ventilation systems. Additionally, the possibility of connecting a built-in or external siren provides effective alarm signaling.

Construction and technical parameters

The WG-8R8.EGx/A24 detector is characterized by a solid construction and easy installation. 24V DC power supply ensures compatibility with commonly used power systems. A built-in microprocessor is responsible for the reliable operation of the device, temperature compensation and event history logging. A replaceable gas sensor minimizes operating costs and facilitates servicing. The whole is enclosed in a splash-proof housing (IP54), which increases resistance to environmental conditions.

It is worth emphasizing that all GAZEX detectors are factory calibrated in a laboratory accredited in accordance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 (PCA accreditation No. AP150), which guarantees the accuracy and reliability of measurements. 24V power supply also allows connecting additional external devices via dedicated terminals with a fuse.
