The WG-8R8.Fx/A gas detector is an autonomous device designed for continuous monitoring of carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration in rooms. Its main task is to warn about exceeding permissible norms, which is crucial for ensuring safe working and living conditions, as well as optimizing ventilation systems. The detector finds application in a wide range of facilities – from underground car parks and vehicle inspection stations, through boiler rooms and cooling plants, to medical facilities.

Functionality and construction

The device combines detection, signaling and control functions in one compact housing. A built-in optical sensor (infra-red) ensures precise measurement of CO2 concentration, and three programmable alarm thresholds allow you to adapt the detector's reaction to the specific needs of a given facility. The alarm signal is realized both optically (multicolor LED lamp) and acoustically (built-in sounder). Additionally, the detector has three NO contact outputs, which can be used to control ventilation systems or other external devices. It is worth emphasizing that the detector is equipped with a thermal compensation circuit, which ensures stable readings even under changing environmental conditions.

The WG-8R8.Fx/A detector is characterized by ease of installation and configuration. Removable terminals facilitate the connection of single- and multi-strand wires without the need for ferrules. The ability to test the device from the outside, without having to open the housing, greatly simplifies the maintenance and service process. For the end user, the key is reliable operation and a quick reaction to increased CO2 concentration – which translates into improved comfort and safety when staying in the monitored room. A splash-proof housing (IP44) provides resistance to moisture and dust, and the optional mechanical cover AR-1 additionally protects the detector against damage in places exposed to vandalism or accidental impacts. The device is powered by 230 V~ and its dimensions are 110 x 140 x 55 mm.
