Functionality and application

The WG-8R8.Fx-Nstd detector uses an optical measurement method (infra-red), which guarantees high precision and selectivity in detecting carbon dioxide (CO2). This is particularly important in places where the presence of this gas may pose a hazard, such as boiler rooms, warehouses, laboratories, or during industrial processes. The device signals exceeding alarm thresholds, allowing for a quick response and preventing dangerous situations.

Construction and characteristics

The detector has been designed with ease of installation and use in mind. The housing made of high-impact ABS/PC provides resistance to mechanical damage and protects the internal components from external factors (IP54 protection class for electronic circuits and IP44 for the sensor cover). Compact dimensions (140 x 110 x 55 mm) and low weight (approx. 0.3 kg) facilitate installation even in hard-to-reach places. The replaceable sensor allows for quick replacement of a damaged element or adaptation of the detector to detect other gases (various sensor modules are available). Electronic circuits based on SMT technology ensure stable and reliable operation of the device, and the power supply, connection efficiency, and sensor presence control system further increase safety. The detector's response time is from 15 to 300 seconds – it depends on the specific model and operating conditions.
