Gas detectors WG/Fx – reliable safety in any environment
The WG/Fx series gas detectors are autonomous devices designed for continuous monitoring of gas and vapor concentrations in industrial and enclosed spaces. They are indispensable wherever ensuring safety and controlling the atmosphere is essential, and a quick response to a hazard is critical. Model WG-9E5.Fx/A-Nstd, with an electrochemical sensor, is dedicated to the precise measurement of oxygen content in the air.
Functionality and application
Devices from the WG/Fx series find wide application in various facilities, such as:
- underground garages and parking lots – automatic ventilation control depending on the gas concentration level;
- vehicle inspection stations – effective operation of exhaust systems;
- solid fuel boiler rooms – monitoring the presence of carbon monoxide;
- machine rooms with refrigerants – protection against leaks;
- cold rooms – ensuring safe food storage conditions;
- rooms with air conditioning and refrigeration equipment – air quality control;
- medical facilities using oxygen therapy – monitoring oxygen concentration.
Construction and user features
WG/Fx detectors are characterized by a compact, one-piece design, integrating a sensor, control unit, audible and visual signaling, and alarm outputs. This allows for easy installation and quick start-up. A replaceable, intelligent gas sensor ensures measurement accuracy and the ability to adapt the device to specific needs. Built-in three alarm thresholds (factory set) allow for effective response to changes in gas concentration. Additionally:
- built-in event history facilitates analysis of alarm causes and system optimization;
- signaling of the recommended calibration period reminds of the need for maintenance;
- built-in self-test procedure after power-on allows for quick verification of correct operation;
- possibility of testing from the outside without opening the housing facilitates servicing;
- thermal compensation system ensures measurement stability in variable environmental conditions;
- splash-proof sensor cover (IP44) protects the device from moisture and dirt.
The WG-9E5.Fx/A-Nstd device operates at 24V= and has three normally open (NO) contact outputs, which can be configured as a fault output or assigned to alarm thresholds A2 or A3. It also has a 12 V=/100 mA alarm output for connecting an external audible alarm (e.g., SL-32). The detector dimensions are 110 x 140 x 55 mm.
