This gas detector is a reliable device designed for continuous monitoring of carbon monoxide (CO) and propane-butane (LPG) levels in residential premises. Its purpose is to protect you and your family from the hazards associated with gas leaks. The device signals dangerous gas concentrations with both optical and acoustic signals, and also activates alarm outputs allowing connection of an external siren or other warning systems.

The DK-25.P/E detector is particularly useful in places where there is a risk of gas emissions, such as boiler rooms, kitchens with gas appliances, bathrooms with water heaters, as well as rooms with fireplaces or portable gas heaters. It will also be useful in garages and rooms with gas installations.

Functionality and Application

The detector is equipped with a replaceable sensor module, ensuring easy and inexpensive operation for a long time. This means that replacing a worn sensor does not require replacing the entire device. The alarm signal is two-stage – optical for carbon monoxide at a concentration of 0.005% and optical-acoustic for carbon monoxide at 0.01% and for propane-butane when exceeding 15% of the Lower Explosive Limit (LEL). This ensures a quick response to potential hazards.

The device has a contact output allowing integration with other security systems and an output for connecting an external alarm siren. 230V power supply ensures stable operation without the need to replace batteries.

Installation and Operation

Correct installation of the detector is crucial for its effectiveness. It is recommended to place it on the wall, at a height of no more than 30-50 cm above the floor level – propane-butane is heavier than air and accumulates in the lower parts of the room, while carbon monoxide mixes well with air throughout the volume of the room. Avoid places exposed to direct moisture, dust or strong electromagnetic fields. The detector should be installed near a potential source of gas emission, but no more than 4 meters away from it (measured along the floor). The device has a 3-year warranty and is calibrated in its own GAZEX Calibrating Laboratory operating in accordance with the PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard (PCA accreditation No. AP150).
