Gas detector DK-61.A – protection for your home and installation

This detector is designed for continuous monitoring of the presence of refrigerants, commonly known as freons, in rooms where there is a risk of leakage. This is particularly important in the context of environmental protection, as freons have a negative impact on the ozone layer. The device signals exceeding the permissible gas concentration both visually and audibly, and also allows connection of external alarm devices.

The DK-61.A detector is an ideal solution for owners of homes with air conditioning, heat pumps, refrigerators or other cooling devices. It will also be useful in refrigeration machine rooms of agricultural farms. Thanks to the replaceable sensor module, the device is easy and economical to operate – the sensor has a predictable lifespan of up to 15 years in clean air.

Application and installation – the key to effective protection

The detector is used in rooms with air conditioning or refrigeration equipment, as well as in refrigeration machine rooms of agricultural farms. Proper placement of the device is important:

• wall mounting, no higher than 30 cm above the floor (freon is heavier than air and accumulates in the lower parts of the room),
• near a potential leak source (maximum 4 meters),
• away from doors, thresholds and floor ducts that may obstruct gas flow,
• in a place not exposed to sunlight and dry, away from heat sources and electromagnetic interference.

Functionality and technical parameters

The DK-61.A detector is characterized by a high measurement frequency – every 2 seconds – and a precise alarm threshold of 2000 ppm for R410A refrigerant. It has an output for connecting an external signaling device (9V) and a 12V= power supply. The built-in optical signaling informs about the device status:

• green – normal state,
• yellow – emergency state,
• red – alarm state.

Additionally, the detector is equipped with a built-in acoustic siren with a loudness of 85dB/min. Compact dimensions (85 x 140 x 55 mm) and low weight (0.46 kg) facilitate installation of the device. The detector is covered by a 3-year warranty and has accreditation from the GAZEX Calibration Laboratory (PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025 standard). The device is microprocessor-controlled, which ensures reliable operation and the possibility of cooperation with other devices of the alarm system.
