Gas sensor module MS-15.EG GAZEX Propane-butane (LPG)

The MS-15.EG sensory module is a replaceable propane-butane (LPG) detection unit designed for operation within the WG.EG and WG.EGx systems.

Its primary function is continuous monitoring of explosive gas concentration in the air – for example, in underground garages, boiler rooms, or loading zones – and triggering alarms and controlling ventilation upon exceeding set thresholds.

What does this mean in practice?
In the event of an LPG leak, the module responds to concentrations of 10%, 20%, or 30% of the Lower Explosive Limit (%LEL) – factory-set values in accordance with safety standards. Manual calibration is not required, as the process is built-in and automatic.

Key advantage: replaceability without dismantling the entire detector.
If the sensor wears out, becomes damaged, or if the type of monitored gas changes – simply disconnect and replace only this single module. The entire detection system remains in place, eliminating the need for costly installation work or recalibration of the whole system. This saves the installer time and reduces operational costs.

The module contains a built-in processor that records operational history: the number of alarms, duration of fault states, and measurement range exceedances. This enables analysis of the detector's operating conditions – for example, whether frequent signals result from actual leaks or from improper mounting location.

It is a semiconductor module, resistant to environmental conditions, powered by the detector (230V AC, 12V DC, or 24V DC), and its design is compatible with all models in the WG.EG and WG.EGx series. All devices are calibrated in the GAZEX laboratory in accordance with PN-EN ISO/IEC 17025.

There is no need to replace the entire detection system when changing technology – simply swap the MS-15.EG for another module (e.g., for CO or H₂). This is a flexible, future-proof solution based on real-world usage.
