MS-11.EG-EN GAZEX Methan Sensor Module
MS-11.EG-EN Sensory Module – Replaceable Methane Sensor with Operational Memory
The module contains a semiconductor methane sensor and all necessary electronics for its calibration – a processor, measurement circuit, and memory storing the operational history. There is no need to disassemble the detector to replace or calibrate the sensor. Simply remove the module, perform the operation, and reinsert it – the system continues to operate without requiring parameter reconfiguration.
For the Installer – Quick Replacement; For the User – Stability
The module records the number of alarms, operating time in alarm state, number of measurement range exceedances, and any fault conditions. This data allows assessment of how the sensor performed under real-world conditions – for example, whether it was exposed to prolonged low gas concentrations or frequent short-term triggers. If the type of hazardous substance in the facility changes, there is no need to replace the entire detection system. Simply swap the module for one suitable for the new gas – the rest of the installation remains unchanged.
Alarm Thresholds and Measurement Range – Compliant with DGW Standard
The sensor responds to methane in the range of 5–40% LEL. It features three threshold alarm levels: 10%, 30%, and (40%). These are not three separate output signals but configured thresholds used by the detector to assess hazard levels. The 40% value represents the highest alarm threshold, not the detection limit. The sensor continues to operate above this level, but the system is designed to trigger the first alarm at 10% LEL.
The module has no dedicated communication output – it does not generate an RS-485 signal or other interfaces. It is a replaceable component within the detector (e.g., DG-11.EN), responsible for data transmission and signaling.
