MS-14.EG-EN Sensory Module – Selective Methane Detector
The MS-14.EG-EN module is a replaceable gas sensor element designed for use with GAZEX detectors. It contains a methane sensor along with all necessary electronic components for its calibration and operation. Its primary function is to detect the presence of methane in the air, in accordance with the "selective" designation specified in the manufacturer's data.
Calibration and Replacement Without System Disassembly
One of the key features of the module is the ability to replace or calibrate it without the need to disassemble the entire detector. The user can independently remove the module, subject it to calibration, or replace it with a ready-made, pre-calibrated unit – significantly reducing downtime and eliminating the need to call a service technician. This solution lowers the maintenance costs of gas detection systems, especially in facilities where frequent inspections are required.
The module stores sensor operating parameters: number of alarms, duration of alarm states, measurement range exceedances, and any fault conditions. This data enables analysis of operating conditions and supports decisions regarding the necessity of changing the sensor type – for example, after a change in the technological process at the facility.
Compatibility and Limitations
The MS-14.EG-EN module is part of the GAZEX system. Detectors equipped with this module have a standard construction and are not intended for use in explosive hazard zones.
