System power supply for gas detection

These are pulse system power supplies designed to reliably power elements of gas detection systems – control modules, detectors, warning panels and signaling units. They operate at a rated voltage of 12V= or 24V=, ensuring stable operation of the entire system. A key feature is the ability to maintain voltage from a gel battery (or a pair of AKU type batteries), which guarantees continuous operation even in the event of a mains power failure.

Functionality and safety

The PS-8 power supply is characterized by a number of functions ensuring safety and ease of use. The output voltage is galvanically isolated, which increases resistance to interference. The built-in protection protects the circuit against overload and short circuit, and the limitation of the battery charging current extends its lifespan. Optical signaling informs about the presence of input and output voltage, facilitating diagnostics. Additionally, the optional PS-MR module offers relay outputs signaling the absence of mains power and the presence of output voltage – this is a useful solution for installers and service technicians.
