Gas detectors of the DEX/F series are devices designed for continuous monitoring of dangerous concentrations of gases or vapors of explosive liquids, toxic substances, or oxygen in enclosed spaces. They signal exceeding two alarm thresholds (A1, A2) set in the replaceable sensor module. Thanks to their explosion-proof design and the possibility of use in hazardous areas, they ensure safety in demanding industrial and commercial conditions. These detectors are compatible with various GAZEX control modules, allowing for the construction of comprehensive detection and alarm systems.

Application and Functionality

The DEX-15/N detector, equipped with a semiconductor sensor, is designed to detect propane and butane in the range of 10-30% LEL (Lower Explosive Limit). This makes it ideal for use in places where there is a risk of LPG leakage – e.g., in heating installations, gas stoves, gas cylinder warehouses, or car workshops. The replaceable sensor module ensures easy maintenance and calibration, as well as the possibility of adapting the detector to other types of gases by replacing the sensor.

The DEX/F detectors meet the requirements of the ATEX Directive, which guarantees their safety and reliability in a potentially explosive atmosphere. They can be used in zones 1 or 2 hazardous with explosions of gases or flammable vapors classified into explosiveness groups IIA, IIB or IIC.
