Sensory module MS-11.EG GAZEX Methane
The MS-11.EG sensory module is a replaceable component of a methane detector, designed for systems powered via an RS-485 port using the MODBUS RTU protocol. It includes a semiconductor sensor responsive to CH₄, as well as an integrated processor that records operational history — number of alarms, duration of alarm states, measurement range exceedances, and system errors. This enables the installer to analyze the detector's operating conditions and make decisions regarding the necessity of sensor calibration or replacement — without the need to disassemble the entire device.
Calibration and module replacement can be performed in the field without interrupting system operation. Simply remove the faulty or calibrated module and replace it with a new one, ready for immediate use. This approach eliminates prolonged monitoring interruptions, reduces service costs, and allows rapid adaptation of the system to environmental changes (e.g., new emission sources). The alarm threshold value is 10/20/30% LEL — three signaling levels corresponding to standard requirements for rooms with methane explosion risk.
The module operates within a range of 5–40% LEL, meaning it responds to concentrations from low levels up to near the explosive limit. It does not require additional power supplies — it is part of the WG-11.EG detector and its variants (A24, A, x, etc.), which are powered by 24V~. Its design allows installation in existing GAZEX gas detection systems without the need to upgrade the entire installation — only the module needs to be replaced. All data recorded by the processor is accessible via the DETnet View software, providing full transparency of system operation.
