Test adapter for gas detectors

The TC-DG adapter is a key component of the test and calibration kit for GAZEX gas detectors. It allows for precise delivery of test gas to devices such as DG/F, DG/P, DG/PV and DG/M, ensuring verification of their correct operation and compliance with safety standards. This gives installers and end-users confidence in the reliability of gas detection systems.

Versatility and compatibility

The TC-DG adapter is dedicated to GAZEX gas detectors manufactured after 2002, including models DG/F, DG/P, DG/PV and DG/M. The kit includes two flexible hoses – one for non-reactive gases (e.g. methane, propane), and the other for reactive gases with low concentrations (e.g. ammonia, hydrogen sulfide). This solution allows for comprehensive testing of various types of gas hazards.

Safety and certification

The TC-DG adapter meets stringent safety standards. According to the WE Type Examination Certificate No. KDB 04ATEX133X (together with Supplementary Certificates for DEX type detectors), it can be used in areas at risk of explosion of gases from group IIA or IIB (zones 1 and 2). This guarantees safe operation in potentially hazardous environments.

Practical application and accessories

The TC-DG adapter is a component of the complete GTS gas test kit. It can be used in conjunction with other GAZEX accessories, such as:

• Gas humidifier CHS-03: essential when testing detectors with a semiconductor sensor – ensures proper humidification of the test gas for accurate measurements.
• Reducer CFR-05: allows connection of the adapter to a test gas cylinder and regulation of the flow at a constant level of 0.5 l/minute.
• Container BTL-025: designed for the humidifying solution used with the CHS-03 humidifier.
• Case CRC-2: facilitates transport and storage of the entire testing kit.

It is worth remembering that TC adapters are not optimized for supplying mixtures containing vapors of organic compounds. The dimensions of the adapter are 50 x 75 x 50 mm, which ensures ease of use and simple installation.
