Valve control module ZM – reliable protection for gas installations

This control module, designated MD-X.ZM, is designed to work with ZM butterfly valves with a 230V~ electric actuator in gas automatic shut-off systems. It is a key element ensuring safety in gas boiler rooms and installations for large gas consumers. The device allows both manual and automatic valve control, increasing flexibility and system control.

Versatility and compatibility

The MD-X.ZM module is not limited to ZM valves. It can also be successfully used with:

• ZM butterfly valves with single-phase 230V~ actuators (models E50, E60, E100, E65, E110) or three-phase 400V~ (additional contactors required).
• Ball valves with a rotary mechanism from EL-O-Matic (single-phase EL100-800 actuator).
• Other single-phase electric valves with limit switches – if they have an identical control and connection diagram.

Functionality for professionals and users

The module offers a wide range of functions that will be appreciated by both installers and end users:

• 230V~ voltage outputs: Control the opening and closing of the valve (or 3-phase motor contactors).
• 12V= voltage control inputs: Allow remote control of valve closing and opening.
• Manual control: Buttons on the housing allow easy closing or opening of the valve directly on site.
• Optical signaling: LED indicators inform about the current valve status – open, closed, opening or closing.
• 12V= alarm outputs: Allow connection of audible or visual signaling devices in case of failure or change of valve status.
• Contact outputs: Galvanically isolated contact outputs can control fans, contactors and other devices.
• Emergency contact output: Informs about power failure or problems with valve opening/closing – crucial for rapid response in crisis situations.

Solid construction and technical parameters

The MD-X.ZM module is characterized by a compact design with dimensions of 240 x 215 x 120 mm. 230V~ power supply ensures stable operation of the device in standard network conditions. It has two 12V= alarm control outputs and two contact outputs, as well as an emergency contact output to increase system safety. The device is ready for mounting in control cabinets thanks to standard housing dimensions.
