Visualization and control module for gas detection systems

This module, designated MDD-L32/T, is a key component of the Digital Gas Detection System (DGDS) by GAZEX. It serves to visually monitor the status of up to 32 detectors, presenting information via 5 LEDs per detector. However, it is not limited to visualization – it also enables control of other actuators, such as audible and visual alarms, via built-in alarm and relay outputs.

Functionality and application

The MDD-L32/T module provides comprehensive control over the gas detection system. Communication is via RS-485 with the MODBUS RTU protocol, guaranteeing reliable data exchange with the master module MDD-265/T. Optical signaling informs about the power status, alarms and failures of individual detectors, as well as the status of the control outputs. This allows for quick identification of problems and effective response in hazardous situations.

• Simple installation and configuration: The module is designed for mounting on a TS35 rail in standard electrical panels. Setting configuration is intuitive and can be performed both manually by the master module MDD-256/T and using the dedicated configuration software "MDD256 View".

The MDD-L32/T module is characterized by a compact design (dimensions: 106 x 90 x 65 mm) and solid construction. Power is supplied by 24V=. It has 4 relay outputs and 2 12V= alarm outputs. The RS-485 port is galvanically isolated, which increases resistance to interference and ensures stable communication. The housing is adapted for mounting on a TS35 rail, which facilitates integration with existing electrical infrastructure.
