Alarm module with automatic power backup

The MD-1.Z control module is a device designed to monitor and power gas detectors, as well as control the shut-off valve in gas installation safety systems. It is a key element of signaling and shut-off systems, compliant with the requirements of the Minister of Infrastructure Regulation. The device ensures continuous operation even in the event of a power failure thanks to the built-in backup (approx. 1h).

Functionality and application

The MD-1.Z module works with one gas detector, offering reliable monitoring and hazard status signaling. It is equipped with an output to control a shut-off valve, allowing for automatic gas shut-off in the event of a dangerous gas concentration being detected. Additionally, it has alarm outputs for connecting acoustic and optical signaling devices, as well as relay outputs for cooperation with other devices – fans, contactors or information boards. The built-in "FAILURE" output informs about any problems with the module or lack of power.

The device has one alarm input and two alarm control outputs 12V= and two relay outputs. The high-current 12V= output is intended for controlling a MAG-3 type shut-off valve (with connection monitoring). Solid construction guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation of the device in various environmental conditions.
