Control module MD-4.ZA 4 inputs, 12V power supply, 1 output for valve
Gas detection system control module – reliable control and safety
This control module, designed to work with gas detectors, is a key element of gas signaling and shut-off systems. It provides comprehensive control over the operation of detectors and enables a quick response in the event of a dangerous gas concentration being detected. This is a solution for both professional installers and end-users who value safety and reliability.
Functionality and application
The MD-4.ZA module is used to monitor and power up to four two-threshold gas detectors (DEX/F, DEX/A, DG/F or DG.EN types). It can be used in a Two-Threshold Gas Detection System and in an Active Gas Installation Safety System (ASBIG). Its versatility allows integration with various alarm systems and external devices. Equipped with an output to control a shut-off valve, it meets the requirements of the Regulation of the Minister of Infrastructure of the Republic of Poland regarding signaling and shut-off systems.
- Detector control: Monitors the operating status of gas detectors, ensuring continuous control over the level of threat.
- Alarm signaling: Has 12V= outputs for connecting additional acoustic and optical signaling devices, ensuring effective warning of danger.
- Valve control: Version with a valve control output (MD-4.ZA) enables automatic gas shut-off in the event of a dangerous concentration being detected.
- Communication: Relay outputs allow integration with other devices, such as fans or contactors.
- Emergency notifications: The "FAILURE" relay output informs about problems with the module or lack of power.
Construction and characteristic features
The MD-4.ZA module is characterized by a solid construction and high reliability. 12V= power supply ensures stable operation of the device. It has alarm inputs that allow cooperation with fire systems or manual valve shut-off devices. This makes it an integral part of a comprehensive gas installation safety system. It is worth noting the possibility of remote valve control via an additional module and the option of connecting to a Digital Gas Detection System (DGD) via the RS-485 port (in /M versions). This allows for remote monitoring and configuration of the device using the dedicated "DETnet View" software.
The maximum number of supported detectors is four, and the module has two 12V= alarm control outputs and two relay control outputs. It also has an emergency control output and a shut-off valve control output. The module is powered by a voltage of 12V=. The dimensions of the housing are 240 x 215 x 115 mm, which ensures convenient installation in various conditions. The design has been designed with ease of installation and maintenance in mind, which is particularly important for professional installers.
