Control Module MDD-256/T – the central element of the gas detection system

The MDD-256/T control module is a key element of the Digital Gas Detection System (DGDS) from GAZEX. It is used to monitor and manage a network of digital detectors and additional modules, providing comprehensive protection against gas hazards. The device is designed for mounting on a TS35 rail in standard electrical distribution boards, making it easy to integrate with existing infrastructure.

Functionality and application

MDD-256/T enables cyclic monitoring of the status of up to 224 detectors and 21 additional digital modules. Communication takes place via the MODBUS RTU standard through two independent RS-485 ports, one of which can be used to integrate with external building management systems (BMS). In the event of a hazard detection, the module activates optical and acoustic signaling, activates control outputs, and transmits information to the superior system.

The module finds application in public buildings, industrial plants, and anywhere reliable monitoring of the presence of gases is required. Thanks to the possibility of configuration and expansion, the DGDS system with MDD-256/T can be adapted to the individual needs of each user.

Additional information

The module is powered by 24V DC (admissible range 15-30V). The dimensions of the device are 106 x 90 x 65 mm. The module has all connections with removable terminals, which facilitates the connection of single- and multi-strand wires without the need for ferrules. It is worth noting the possibility of configuring the relay and alarm outputs according to individual customer needs – controlling fans, motors or integrating with building automation becomes easier than ever before.
