GEBSICONE sanitary silicone is a high-quality acetoxy sealant with fungicide properties, specifically designed for demanding applications in bathrooms and kitchens. Its 100% acetoxy-type silicone formula provides durable protection against moisture and mold growth, while maintaining excellent joint flexibility.

Effective protection against mold and discoloration

The main advantage of this product is the presence of a strong fungicide, which actively prevents the formation of black spots and mold colonies. These discolorations are a common problem in sanitary joints, giving them an unsightly, dirty appearance. Thanks to its special formula, GEBSICONE maintains the aesthetics of the finish for a long time, even in high humidity conditions.

The fungicide remains active even during contact with hot water and aggressive household cleaning agents. This is particularly important in bathrooms, where water vapor and frequent washing create ideal conditions for microorganism growth.

Universal adhesion to sanitary surfaces

The product is characterized by excellent adhesion to various materials found in sanitary installations. It performs particularly well on enameled and glassy surfaces, but also adheres effectively to ceramics, aluminum, and non-ferrous metals.

This versatility makes GEBSICONE suitable for sealing joints around washbasins, bathtubs, shower trays, and sinks. It is also effective in more specialized applications, such as laboratory benches or areas exposed to constant moisture.

Performance parameters guaranteeing durability

The silicone maintains its properties across a wide operating temperature range from -40°C to +100°C without hardening or softening. This thermal resistance is crucial in rooms exposed to large temperature fluctuations and proximity to heat sources.

The skin formation time is only 5 minutes, allowing for quick continuation of finishing work. Tack-free time occurs approximately 45 minutes after application. The product exhibits a Shore A hardness of 19 and an elongation at break of at least 150%, ensuring optimal flexibility without loss of strength.

Application and storage conditions

Application should take place at an ambient temperature between +5°C and +40°C on dry, clean, and degreased substrates. Before use, all dirt and residues of old sealants must be removed to ensure maximum adhesion.

For product storage, a temperature between +5°C and +30°C in a dry place is recommended.

Application limitations

Due to the presence of fungicidal substances, the product must not be used for sealing aquariums—fungicides are dangerous to fish. Use on synthetic, acrylic, or composite materials is also not recommended without prior adhesion testing.

On natural stones such as marble or granite, a test should be performed due to the possibility of discoloration caused by the reaction with the acetic acid contained in the silicone.
