Precise pipeline routing

The Mapress Edelstahl system elbow with a 45° angle enables gentle changes in the installation direction - where a right angle would be too sharp, and a straight line is not an option. With a diameter of 35 mm (DN 32) and an overall length of 43 mm, it performs well in tight spaces between walls and ceilings, where every centimeter counts.

The Geberit press system requires M-profile jaws - once correctly pressed, the connection becomes leak-proof. Until pressing, the pipe can be moved freely within the socket, giving the installer time to adjust the position without the risk of leakage. The black CIIR seal is pre-installed; a transparent protective cap protects the bell end from contamination on the construction site.

Material and pressure resistance

The body is made of chrome-nickel-molybdenum steel 1.4401 (AISI 316) - a grade resistant to intergranular corrosion and chloride action, which is significant in pool, marine, or industrial installations. A wall thickness of 1,5 mm at both sockets ensures high mechanical strength.

The maximum working pressure at 20°C is 16 bar, which covers the requirements of most water and central heating installations in residential buildings and commercial facilities.

Range of media and operating environments

The elbow is suitable for a wide spectrum of applications:

• potable water - cold and hot, treated, rainwater (pH ≥5,5),
• technological water - production, process, heating water up to 120°C, saturated steam up to 120°C,
• cooling water - both without glycol additives and with antifreeze,
• wastewater - grey and black with pH ≥5,5,
• compressed air - oil cleanliness class 0-3,
• inert gases - nitrogen; industrial gases such as acetylene or shielding gases for welding,
• chemicals and technical fluids - within the range permitted for CIIR seals,
• sprinklers (fire protection systems).

The product is dedicated to domestic, industrial, and marine construction installations - where proven material parameters and connection repeatability are required.

Installation - practical aspects

Two design details are important for the installer:

• Press indicator - a factory-made groove around the socket signals the correctness of the pressing performed; no groove = insufficient tool pressure.
• Protective cap - the transparent cover allows for assessing the condition of the seal before installation without the need to remove it.

Once installed, the elbow requires no additional sealing or maintenance. The system is single-use in terms of the mechanical connection - once pressed, it cannot be disconnected without destruction.
