Professional reduction connection for sanitary and industrial installations
The Geberit Mapress Stainless Steel reducer is an element of a precision pipe connection system that enables a smooth transition between pipes of different diameters. The model identified by catalog number 32319 performs a reduction from 54 mm to 15 mm, allowing for the creation of extensive installation routes without the need for additional adapters.
Construction and materials
The body is made of stainless steel grade 1.4401 (316), which is CrNiMo chromium-nickel-molybdenum steel compliant with the EN 10088 standard. This alloy provides increased corrosion resistance in aqueous environments and mechanical stability across a wide temperature range.
The reducer operates in a straight configuration - both ends are aligned on a single axis, simplifying conduit routing. On the larger side (54 mm), a compression sleeve with an M profile is mounted, intended for the press jaws of the same system. On the smaller side (15 mm), there is a push-on end - the pipe is inserted directly into the fitting or valve.
Wall thicknesses are 1.5 mm for the main connection and 1 mm for the reduction end, respectively. The total length of the element is 97 mm, with the sleeve occupying 41.5 mm and the push-on end - 55.5 mm. Both ends remain in a raw state - without additional protective coating or surface treatment.
The maximum working pressure at a temperature of 20°C is 16 bar, classifying the product as a component for high-pressure installations.
Media applications
The product belongs to the Geberit Mapress Stainless Steel line, which handles a wide spectrum of media encountered in building and industrial installations:
- Cold and hot potable water - residential and commercial installations,
- Heating water and district heating networks up to 120°C,
- Cooling water - both without and with anti-freeze agents,
- Saturated steam up to 120°C,
- Treated and rainwater with pH >6.0,
- Grey and black wastewater with pH >6.0,
- Wet fire extinguishing water and sprinkler systems,
- Technical liquids and selected chemicals,
- Compressed air (oil cleanliness class 0-3) and inert gases,
- Industrial gases - acetylene, shielding gases.
The element is also effective in building technology systems, industrial applications, and shipbuilding.
Press system features
The reducer is equipped with a black CIIR seal (chlorobutadiene rubber) - a material resistant to aging under the influence of potable water and cyclic thermal loads. The press socket is enclosed by a transparent protective cover, which protects the seal groove from contamination during transport and storage.
An important solution is the pressing indicator - an unpressed connection remains leak-tight only for a short moment after the medium is applied, and then begins to leak. This mechanism enforces correct connection execution on the construction site and eliminates the risk of hidden leaks after closing grooves.
The M profile signifies compatibility with standard compression jaws of the Geberit Mapress system - the same tools service the entire range of this manufacturer's fittings.
