Precise Transition Between Diameters in Sanitary Installations
The Geberit Mapress Edelstahl reducer enables smooth connection of pipes with different diameters in stainless steel piping systems. The element reduces the dimension DN50 (54 mm) on the press socket side to DN25 (28 mm) on the push-in end - both sides are made of CrNiMo stainless steel grade 1.4401 according to DIN EN 10088 standard.
Construction and Materials
The reducer body is made of austenitic 316L stainless steel with enhanced corrosion resistance - suitable for both drinking water installations and industry or shipbuilding. The wall thickness of the press socket is 1.5 mm, while the push-in end has 1.2 mm, ensuring high mechanical strength while maintaining optimal total weight of the element.
The gasket made of CIIR (chlorobutadiene rubber) guarantees leak-tight connection already at the moment of installation - it is resistant to aging, hot water and typical chemical agents used in industrial installations. The transparent protective cap on the press socket protects the gasket from contamination until the moment of installation.
The total length of the element is 110 mm, with the working length of each connection being 23 mm - considering the full socket length (41.5 mm) and push-in end (68.5 mm), the reducer offers a large margin for possible pipe displacement during installation.

The element is suitable for central heating installations, air conditioning, sprinkler fire protection systems and industrial installations - wherever connection reliability is required at working pressure up to 16 bar (at temperature 20°C).
Installation and Connection Characteristics
The reducer uses press fitting technology - installation involves pressing the press socket using M-profile jaws with an appropriate pressing tool. No welding or soldering eliminates fire risk during installation and significantly shortens work time - particularly important when modernizing existing installations.
The pressing indicator visible through the transparent cap enables quick verification of proper connection execution - the element remains leak-tight as long as both mounting points are correctly pressed.
