Tee for stainless steel installation systems

The Geberit Mapress tee with a diameter of 15 mm is a component that divides the medium flow in water and heating installations. Made of 316 (1.4401) grade stainless steel - a chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy - it is characterized by increased resistance to hydrogen corrosion and the action of chlorides, making it suitable for both typical domestic installations and industrial or marine environments.

Construction and connection system

All three branches of the tee are equipped with clamping sleeves adapted to the Geberit Mapress system - one of the most popular pressfitting solutions on the market. M profiles allow for the use of standard clamping jaws, which simplifies on-site logistics.

The tee has a 90° angle and is an equal (egal) model - all three connections have the same nominal diameter DN 12 and external diameter of 15 mm. The wall thickness of each branch is 1 mm, ensuring high mechanical strength while maintaining compact overall dimensions (70 × 54 × 54 mm).

An important design feature is that one branch is plugged - a solution useful when designing branch points that can later be activated or left closed.

Operating parameters and tightness

The maximum working pressure at a temperature of 20°C is 16 bar, which is the standard for modern water and heating installations. The tee is supplied with a factory-installed seal made of CIIR (chlorobutadiene rubber) - a material resistant to aging, hot water, and most oils and greases.

Each socket is equipped with a press indicator - a characteristic element of the Mapress system that signals a lack of proper crimping. Until the jaws close around the branch, the connection remains unsealed, eliminating the risk of leaks resulting from installer error.

Additionally, each socket is equipped with a transparent protective cap, which protects the seal from contamination during transport and storage.

Application

The tee is intended for two main applications:

• Potable water installations - 316 stainless steel meets the hygienic requirements for domestic water distribution systems,
• Heating installations - temperature and pressure resistance allow for use in heating plants and central heating distributors.

The product is dedicated to implementing installations in residential buildings (building services), industrial facilities, and marine vessels - anywhere where connection durability and minimization of failure risk are important.

Installation requires the use of Geberit Mapress system pressfitting tools. Before commissioning the installation, it is necessary to perform a pressure test by authorized installation personnel - as recommended by the manufacturer for all components of this system.
