Mapress system for water and heating installations

The Geberit Mapress tee made of 316 stainless steel (grade 1.4401) is used for constructing drinking water and central heating installations. An outer diameter of 35 mm (corresponding to DN 32) with three connections allows for creating branches at an angle of 90° in standard piping systems.

The Mapress system is based on press connections - press-fitting sleeves allow for rapid installation without welding or threading. The M-profile of the crimping jaws dedicated to this system ensures even pressure around the circumference of the connection.

Material and construction

316 stainless steel (grade 1.4401) contains molybdenum, which increases corrosion resistance - crucial when in contact with chlorine-containing drinking water. The tee has a wall thickness of 1,5 mm at all three connections and does not have an additional protective coating - the surface remains in a raw state.

The model is single-piece (false in the "Multi-piece model" field), which eliminates the risk of leakage resulting from gaps between segments.

Operating parameters

The maximum working pressure at 20°C is 16 bar, allowing the tee to be used in both domestic installations and public utility buildings.

The seal made of chlorobutadiene rubber (CIIR) maintains tightness within typical temperature ranges for water and heating installations.

Installation

The working lengths of the connections are in the range of 24-31 mm. The manufacturer recommends using M-profile jaws dedicated to the Geberit Mapress system - only original tools ensure correct pressure and full tightness of the connection.
