The GEBERIT Mapress Edelstahl press coupling with a diameter of 35 mm (DN 32) is a component designed for creating leak-proof connections in professional sanitary, heating, and industrial installations. Made of 316 (1.4401) stainless steel - a CrNiMo alloy with enhanced corrosion resistance - it excels in demanding operating conditions where durability and reliability are paramount.

The product is equipped with a CIIR seal (chlorobutadiene rubber) and a press indicator - a characteristic element of the Mapress system that indicates whether the connection has been correctly executed. A key feature is the „unverpresst undicht" principle: the connection remains leak-proof only after being correctly pressed with the pressing jaws, which eliminates the risk of leaks resulting from skipping this step.

Material and construction

The coupling body is made of 1.4401 stainless steel in accordance with the DIN EN 10088 standard, characterized by high resistance to drinking water, chemicals, and atmospheric conditions. The walls of both ends have a thickness of 1,5 mm, ensuring mechanical stability at a working pressure of up to 16 bar at a temperature of 20°C. The total length is 62 mm, and the working length of each connection is 5 mm. The surface remains in a raw state - without additional protective coating - which is standard for this type of steel fittings.

For pressing, jaws with an M profile are used, which fit both ends of the coupling.

Scope of applications

The GEBERIT Mapress Edelstahl system is dedicated to a wide spectrum of media:

• Drinking water - cold and hot domestic water installations
• Heating agents - heating water and low-temperature glycol mixtures
• Cooling - air conditioning and refrigeration systems (also without antifreeze additives)
• District heating - water networks up to 120°C
• Saturated steam up to 120°C
• Industrial water, domestic sewage, and rainwater (pH ≥ 6,0)
• Firefighting water and sprinkler installations
• Compressed air (oil cleanliness class 0-3)
• Inert gases (e.g., nitrogen) and industrial gases (e.g., acetylene)
• Chemicals and technical liquids

The coupling is used in sanitary installations, industrial facilities, and shipbuilding - anywhere certified quality of steel connections is required.

Operating parameters

The nominal diameter DN 32 corresponds to a pipe with an outer diameter of 35 mm. The maximum working pressure is 16 bar at a temperature of 20°C. The seal is made of CIIR - black chlorobutadiene rubber resistant to hot water and chemicals. The CrNiMo 1.4401 steel grade ensures high mechanical strength of the entire component.

The product is delivered with a transparent dust cap covering the coupling opening before installation - protecting the interior from contamination on the construction site. The manufacturer provides a 10-year warranty on this element of the Mapress Edelstahl system.
