The Geberit Mapress Edelstahl 90° elbow is a fitting designed to create reliable bends in piping systems. Made of 316 (1.4401) grade stainless steel, it is suitable for demanding installations—both in residential buildings and industrial facilities.

Construction and connection technology

It utilizes the Geberit Mapress press-fit system, which means combining two types of connections in one element:

• Slip connection - the insertion end allows for quick pipe placement without the need for threading or welding. The working length of this connection is 74 mm, ensuring stable pipe support.
• Press connection - the press connection with an M jaw profile allows for a durable mechanical connection using a press tool. The shorter working part (42 mm) facilitates maneuvering in tight spaces.

Both sides of the elbow have an outer diameter of 35 mm (DN32) and a wall thickness of 1,5 mm. The surface remains in a raw state—without additional protective coating, which is typical for stainless steel of this standard.

Operating properties and materials

The seal material is CIIR (chlorobutadiene rubber), resistant to hot water, glycols, and typical chemicals used in heating and cooling installations. The seal is factory-installed in the elbow body—it does not need to be fitted separately before installation.
