The Geberit Mapress Edelstahl sliding sleeve with a diameter of 15 mm is a fundamental component of installation systems based on precise press-fitting technology. Made of CrNiMo 1.4401 stainless steel (compliant with DIN EN 10088), i.e., an austenitic chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy, it features enhanced corrosion resistance when in contact with drinking water and aggressive industrial media.

The sleeve construction is based on a press-fitting connection with two compression sleeves, each with a working length of 15 mm and a total connection length of 40 mm. The M profile enables the use of standard press jaws available in most Mapress system tools. The total length of the element is 80 mm, ensuring a stable connection even with a small bending radius of the pipeline route.

Protection against installation errors

One of the key design features is the press indicator - an indicator informing about proper press execution. Additionally, the sleeve has the unverpresst undicht property, meaning that with incomplete or faulty pressing, the connection remains leaky - this eliminates the risk of hidden leakage that could only be detected after closing the grooves and finishing the room.

The black sealing ring made of chlorobutadiene rubber (CIIR) guarantees tightness throughout the entire range of permissible media. The transparent protective cap protects the sleeve interior from contamination during transport and storage on the construction site.

Wide range of applications

The Geberit Mapress Edelstahl system is suitable for:

• water installations - drinking water (cold and hot), heating water, chilled water, process water and treated water,
• district heating - district heating networks up to 120°C,
• steam - saturated steam up to 120°C,
• industrial - chemicals, technical liquids, compressed air (oil purity class 0-3), inert gases (nitrogen) and industrial gases,
• special - rainwater and domestic and industrial wastewater with pH >6.0, as well as sprinkler systems and fire protection networks.

The sleeve achieves a working pressure of 16 bar at 20°C, allowing its use in both domestic water and sewage installations as well as in industrial or marine facilities.

The high tensile strength of 316 steel ensures connection durability even under mechanical loads occurring during the operation of piping systems.
