The Geberit Mapress Edelstahl reducing tee enables the creation of a take-off point or a branch with a smaller diameter on a pipeline. In this case, the component is equipped with two connection sockets with an outer diameter of 42 mm (DN40) and one socket reduced to 15 mm (DN12). This configuration allows for the connection of smaller devices or auxiliary lines without the need for additional reducers - the tee itself serves both as a branch and a diameter reduction.

The branch angle is 90°, providing a classic lateral outflow direction relative to the axis of the main pipe. The product is factory-capped - each of the three sockets is supplied with a pre-installed seal and protected by a protective cap against contamination during transport and storage.

Construction and materials

The body of the tee is made of stainless steel grade 1.4401 (AISI 316), ensuring high corrosion resistance in drinking water installations, central heating, and selected industrial applications. All three connections have a surface finish in the raw state - they are prepared for crimping with M profile jaws, in accordance with the Geberit Mapress system.

The wall thickness of the main sockets (42 mm) is 1.5 mm, while the reduced socket (15 mm) has a thinner wall - 1 mm. This difference results from the proportional adjustment of the wall thickness to the pipe diameter and the applicable standards for press-fitting systems. Connection lengths vary from 53 mm (DN12 socket) to 57 mm (DN40 socket), and working lengths fall within the range of 27-33 mm, which facilitates inserting the pipe into the socket before crimping.

The seals are made of chlorobutadiene rubber (CIIR) - a material resistant to hot water and standard chemicals used in heating and sanitary installations.

Operating parameters and usage conditions

The product is characterized by high tensile strength - an important feature for installations requiring a secure connection potentially exposed to mechanical stresses. The maximum working pressure at a temperature of 20°C is 16 bar, allowing for use in typical domestic and commercial installations.

Factory-installed CIIR seals guarantee a leak-proof connection after a single crimping with M profile jaws - there is no need for adhesive or welding. The tee is supplied as a multi-part component without a drain valve or air vent, which corresponds to the standard configuration for pipe branches.

Application and system compatibility

Geberit Mapress Edelstahl reducing tees are primarily used in installations:

• water - expansion of risers and connections to fixtures,
• heating - creating lower-capacity circuits or connections to radiators,
• industrial - where the resistance of 316 steel to aggressive media is required.

The Geberit Mapress system includes a full range of through-fittings (elbows, couplings), valves/fittings (ball valves, radiator valves), and mounting accessories. Tees from the 312xx series are available in many diameter combinations - from the base size DN12/15 up to DN100/108 - allowing for the selection of the appropriate element without the need for additional adapters.

Installation is performed using the press-fitting technique: insert the pipe into the tee socket to the full working length and crimp with M profile jaws.
