Geberit Mapress stainless steel transition coupling with female thread: d=22mm, Rp=3/4'' 31806
Construction and materials
The Geberit Mapress transition coupling is made of 316 grade stainless steel (1.4401) - a chromium-nickel-molybdenum alloy resistant to corrosion in moist and industrial environments.
The first connection is a compression sleeve for a pipe with an outer diameter of 22 mm (DN20). The M profile is dedicated to the Geberit Mapress system crimping jaws - one tool for the entire installation. The sleeve wall thickness is 1.2 mm, and the working length of the connection is 1.5 mm.
The second connection is a cylindrical internal thread Rp 3/4" (compliant with ISO 7-1 and EN 10226-1 standards). The thread length is 18 mm.
The seal is made of CIIR (chlorobutadiene rubber) - an elastomer resistant to aging and ozone. The built-in seal eliminates the need for additional sealing with tape or hemp.
Mapress System - installation and tightness
The Mapress technology relies on crimping the sleeve onto the pipe using M profile jaws. The process requires dedicated jaws and a crimping tool - without a torch or soldering filler.
After inserting the pipe into the sleeve (the connection length is 21 mm), you perform a circumferential crimp. A durable mechanical connection is created, aided by the CIIR seal - you do not need to calibrate the pipe or use additional seals.
High tensile strength ensures connection stability under axial forces typical for closed installations. The product is factory-capped before transport.
Applications and compatibility
The coupling serves as a transition element between the Mapress steel pipe system and threaded fittings - ball valves, filters, or reducers with an Rp 3/4" thread.
It is suitable for:
- water supply installations - potable and utility water,
- heating installations - central heating, underfloor heating,
- cooling installations - glycol circuits,
- industrial applications.
316 steel is ideal where standard austenite might be exposed to corrosion - in environments with elevated chloride concentrations or high humidity.
