Geberit Mapress System - fast assembly without welding or soldering

The Geberit Mapress Stainless Steel transition coupling with a diameter of 28 mm and an internal cylindrical thread Rp 3/4" (compliant with ISO 7-1 / EN 10226-1 standard) serves as a connecting element for stainless steel piping systems in water and heating installations. The product enables a leak-proof transition between a Mapress system pipe and an installation finished with an internal thread - without welding or soldering.

Construction and materials

The coupling body is made of 316 stainless steel (grade 1.4401) - a CrNiMo chromium-nickel-molybdenum steel according to the DIN EN 10088 standard. The wall thickness at the press connection is 1.2 mm. The total length is 39 mm, with the press sleeve working part being 23 mm and the internal thread working part being 16 mm. The nominal diameter of the first connection corresponds to DN 25.

The factory-installed sealing ring is made of chlorobutadiene rubber (CIIR) - a material resistant to hot water and glycols used as corrosion inhibitors in heating installations.

Press connection and leak control

The press sleeve utilizes the M crimp profile, compatible with Geberit Mapress system jaws. The element is equipped with a press indicator (pressindikator) - a characteristic feature of the entire Mapress system for signaling a correctly executed connection: improperly formed couplings remain leaky even during the pressure test stage before the installation is commissioned.

The press connection technology allows for the connection to be made using electric or cordless tools - without open flame or seams.
