The GEBERIT Mapress Edelstahl transition coupling connects a press sleeve with an outer diameter of 35 mm (M profile) to an internal cylindrical thread Rp 1", enabling the creation of leak-proof connections between system pipes and threaded components - such as ball valves, filters, or reductions.

Material and Construction

The coupling body is made of 316 (1.4401) grade stainless steel - CrNiMo in accordance with the DIN EN 10088 standard. This alloy is distinguished by increased corrosion resistance compared to standard austenitic steels, allowing it to operate in drinking water installations with high hygienic requirements - hospitals, industrial facilities, or shipbuilding.

The press sleeve wall thickness is 1.5 mm, which ensures high mechanical strength of the connection while maintaining compact dimensions. The total length of the coupling is 45 mm. Both connections - both the M profile sleeve and the internal thread - remain in a raw state without additional surface treatment.

The seal made of CIIR (chloroprene rubber) guarantees tightness across a wide range of operating temperatures and pressures.

Installation and Connection Characteristics

The press sleeve is equipped with a transparent protective cap, which protects the interior from contamination during transport and storage - simply remove it directly before installation.

A key feature of the GEBERIT Mapress system is the "unpressed = leaky" principle: the connection only becomes leak-proof after being correctly pressed with M profile jaws. Until the pressing is performed, the component can be freely disassembled or its position corrected - this eliminates the risk of installation errors during the rough-in stage.

The tightening indicator visible on the sleeve allows for verification of the correct connection execution even before the installation is commissioned.

The product meets the requirements of the UBA-Positivliste, which means it is approved for use in German drinking water installations subject to strict environmental regulations.
