Universal pipe connection for demanding installations

The Geberit Mapress Edelstahl transition coupling is a reliable solution for creating leak-proof connections between system pipes and threaded installation elements. Made of CrNiMo 1.4401 (EN 10088) stainless steel, i.e., grade 316, it ensures high corrosion resistance and durability in difficult operating conditions.

Construction and materials

The coupling body is made of 316 stainless steel with increased resistance to chlorides and aggressive chemical environments. The wall thickness is 1,2 mm, which, while maintaining high tensile strength, allows for safe operation under pressure up to 16 bar for liquid media and 5 bar for gases.

The pipe side connection consists of a pressable sleeve with an M-profile - compatible with the Geberit Mapress system crimping jaws. The threaded side is a tapered BSPT-R gas external thread compliant with ISO 7-1 and EN 10226-1 standards, guaranteeing a leak-proof connection with fittings and devices featuring standard inch threads.

The installed CIIR (chlorobutadiene rubber) seal in black ensures tightness across a wide range of temperatures and with various working media. The sleeve is supplied with a transparent plastic protective cap - protecting the interior from contamination during transport and storage.

Scope of applications

The coupling is suitable for domestic, industrial, and marine installations. The manufacturer permits its use for:

• cold and hot water, as well as heating water up to 120°C
• saturated steam up to 120°C
• cooling and heating water - including with anti-freeze agents
• compressed air (oil cleanliness class 0-3) and vacuum
• inert gases (nitrogen) and industrial gases (acetylene, shielding gases for welding)
• production, process, and treated water, as well as rainwater with pH >6,0
• grey and black wastewater with pH >6,0
• wet sprinklers as well as chemicals and technical fluids

Functional and installation features

Before pressing, the connection remains unsealed - this is an intentional feature indicated by the transparent cap seated in the sleeve. The crimp indicator allows for visual control of the correct connection execution.

The total length is 48 mm, with the pipe connection length being 23 mm and the threaded length 25 mm. The nominal diameter on the pipe side corresponds to DN 25 (28 mm), and on the thread side - DN 32 (1¼ inch). The straight shape facilitates running conduits in a straight line.

The manufacturer provides a warranty for a period of 10 years, testifying to the confidence in the manufacturing quality. The coupling does not have a drain valve or air vent - it is a purely connecting element designed for operation in both directions of medium flow.
