Circulation pump for heating and cooling systems

The MAGNA3 pump is an advanced device designed for circulating water in heating and air conditioning systems, both in single-family and multi-family buildings. Its construction based on an integrated controller allows for automatic adjustment of performance to the current needs of the installation, which translates into noticeable energy savings and user comfort. Thanks to this, the pump not only efficiently transports the heating or cooling medium, but also minimizes noise generated by installation elements, such as thermostatic valves.

Construction and installation

The MAGNA3 pump is available in versions with flanged and threaded connections, providing flexibility during installation. Pump installation requires adherence to several principles – it is important not to transfer pipeline stresses to the pump body and to ensure adequate cooling of the control box by positioning it horizontally with the Grundfos logo facing upwards. In the case of installation without an air vent valve, two-headed pumps mounted in a horizontal pipeline should be equipped with an automatic air vent. The pump is supplied with a complete set of gaskets and a shortened operating manual. In the case of versions with terminals – with M20 cable glands.

• Secondary circuit: perfectly suited for installations with low pressure losses.

Thanks to the AutoAdapt technology, the pump automatically adjusts its operating parameters to changing conditions, ensuring optimal performance and energy savings. The AutoAdapt PLUS function allows monitoring and responding to changes in the system, maintaining optimal operating conditions. Additionally, the pump offers various control modes: proportional pressure, constant pressure, constant temperature and constant characteristic – allowing for precise adaptation of its operation to the specifics of the installation. Two-headed versions have a check valve to prevent liquid from flowing back between the heads.

The MAGNA3 97924342 pump operates at a voltage of 1 x 230 V (±10%), 50/60 Hz with PE protection. It is important to take into account the tolerances of the mains voltage during connection – do not use voltages deviating from the value on the pump nameplate. Avoid isolating the control box or covering the control panel due to the need to ensure adequate cooling.
