GRUNDFOS MAGNA1 D 50-180 F 280 is an electronic circulation pump designed for efficient operation in heating, air conditioning systems, and domestic hot water circulation installations. It is a solid solution for both simple and more complex installations, offering reliability and energy efficiency.
Performance and application
The MAGNA1 pump is distinguished by its high energy efficiency – an EEI index of 0.22 guarantees low operating costs. Its design allows for stepless speed control, enabling precise adjustment to the current needs of the system. The maximum head is 18 meters, and the nominal flow rate is 21.18 m³/h, making it suitable for various applications – from underfloor heating to central heating systems. Thanks to the built-in motor speed controller, the pump automatically adjusts its operation to changing conditions.
Construction and special features
The pump body made of cast iron GG 25 (GJL-250) ensures durability and corrosion resistance. The impeller made of a different material (details in the technical specifications) guarantees efficient pump operation. It is worth noting the dual pump function – in the event of a failure of one of the pumps, the other automatically takes over its task, ensuring the continuity of the system operation. Additionally, the pump has a potential-free switching contact and the possibility of remote start/stop via a digital input. Insulation class F ensures safety and long-term operation of the device. Inlet and outlet connections with a flange of pressure class PN10 ensure a tight and safe connection to the installation.
Installation and compatibility
The MAGNA1 pump is adapted for easy installation thanks to standard ISO 228-1 connections and electrical terminals. The compact design (built-in length 280 mm) facilitates integration with existing installations. The pump operates at a voltage of 230V and a frequency of 50/60 Hz, ensuring wide compatibility with various electrical networks. The degree of protection IPX4 protects the device against splashing water, allowing installation in various environmental conditions (ambient temperature from 0 to 40°C).
The Magna1 pump is a pump for heating and cooling circuits and is also available in a stainless steel version for domestic hot water.
MAGNA1 is a simple pump with best-in-class energy efficiency and simple connection for integration into building management systems. It is an economical alternative to the MAGNA3 pump.

The MAGNA1 double pump function ensures flow by automatically switching to the other pump in the event of a fault. The two pumps work together with a lower load and in the event of a failure, the efficient pump takes over the entire flow.
