Substrate for DRAINFIX CLEAN drainage systems – effective rainwater purification

DRAINFIX CLEAN substrate is a specialized material designed for drainage systems, intended for effective cleaning of rainwater from impurities. The package contains 20 liters (30 kg) of CARBOTEC®60 substrate, which is a key element of the functionality of DRAINFIX CLEAN channels. Its unique structure and properties ensure high filtration efficiency, as well as long-lasting permeability.

Efficiency and retention capacity

CARBOTEC®60 substrate has been developed to retain even the smallest particles of contaminants, including heavy metals. This means that the water drained from the surface is cleaner, which contributes to environmental protection. The high retention capacity of DRAINFIX CLEAN channels, combined with the substrate, allows for effective rainwater management. For example, the DRAINFIX®CLEAN 400 channel offers a retention capacity of 1100 cm², and the 300 model – 750 cm². This translates to a reduced risk of local flooding and overloading of the stormwater drainage system.

Construction and application

CARBOTEC®60 substrate is made of durable PEHD plastic and is characterized by a diameter of 100 mm. Its structure has been adapted to clean rainwater from the smallest particles, and the cleaning efficiency corresponds to a layer of 30 cm of active soil surface. The use of geotextile protects against washing out of the substrate and ensures its stability inside the channel. This makes the system reliable and requires minimal maintenance. Replacement of the CARBOTEC®60 substrate is recommended every 10-40 years, depending on the degree of its contamination.

Compliance with standards and load class

DRAINFIX CLEAN systems meet the requirements of PN-EN 1433 standard and are adapted to load class F 900. This means that they can be used in areas with high traffic of vehicles and pedestrians. The materials used for the production of channels – glass fiber reinforced concrete and drainage pipes made of PEHD (with a PVC connecting element) – guarantee durability and corrosion resistance. CARBOTEC®60 substrate effectively retains particles as small as 63 μm, which confirms its high filtration efficiency.
