Substrate for DRAINFIX® CLEAN drainage systems

This specialized substrate, supplied in large 0.88 m³ bags, is a key element of the DRAINFIX® CLEAN drainage systems. It is designed to effectively clean rainwater of impurities, providing effective environmental protection and infrastructure. The CARBOTEC®60 substrate used in the system is characterized by high cleaning efficiency confirmed by the ITB Technical Approval AT-15-9723/2016.

Efficiency and application

The DRAINFIX® CLEAN substrate is distinguished by its ability to retain even the smallest particles of pollutants, including heavy metals. Its permeability has been precisely adapted to the purification of rainwater, and its efficiency corresponds to a 30 cm layer of active soil surface. This ensures not only effective water drainage but also a reduction in the load on stormwater drainage and the natural environment. It is an ideal solution for both new investments and the modernization of existing drainage systems.

Construction and properties

The CARBOTEC®60 substrate is made of durable PEHD plastic and has a diameter of 100 mm. In addition, the use of geotextile prevents debris from entering the pipes, which guarantees long-term and trouble-free operation of the system. The retention capacity of channels equipped with this substrate ranges from 70 to a maximum of 110 liters per meter of channel length - depending on the model (DRAINFIX®CLEAN 300 or 400). The use of the substrate allows achieving high efficiency in retaining pollutants - even above 99.5% for TSS (Total Suspended Solids). Thanks to this, the DRAINFIX® CLEAN system meets the requirements of the PN-EN 1433 standard and can be used in a load class up to F 900. Replacement of the CARBOTEC®60 substrate is recommended every 10-40 years, depending on the degree of its contamination.
