Drainage channel with cast iron grate, class C 250
The channel is made of recycled polypropylene, equipped with a GUGI MW 15/25 cast iron grate, designed for permanent heavy-duty loading – ideal for urban roads, parking lots, and industrial areas. Its construction not only withstands loads up to 250 kN but is also resistant to frost, road salt, and UV radiation – ensuring long-term functionality without the need for replacement.
The cast iron grates are made from grade GJS 500-7, guaranteeing rigidity and impact resistance. The lattice design enables effective water drainage – even during heavy rainfall – without the risk of clogging by debris or leaves. Anti-shift protection (arretierung) and longitudinal shear protection (Längsschubsicherung) ensure grate stability during vehicle movement, while installation is simple: channels can be connected into a continuous system without additional components.
The channel body has a clear width of 200 mm and a height of 235 mm – sufficiently deep to prevent water overflow during high flow rates. The internal ribbed structure of the body minimizes the risk of deformation under the weight of trucks or vans. Lateral and vertical connections (DN/OD 110/160) allow flexible connection to existing sewer networks – no project modifications required.
The black color not only blends well with asphalt or concrete but also does not fade. The weight of 16.98 kg results from a solid construction – it is not lightweight, but this mass prevents it from “floating” under water pressure or during transport. Installation requires an appropriate concrete sub-base – it is not a component for installation on soft ground.
Compliant with DIN EN 1433 and classified as C 250 – this means it meets requirements for areas accessible to vehicles with a mass up to 7.5 tons. It is not a solution for sidewalks or recreational areas – it is a tool for installers working on local roads, logistics facilities, or bus stations.
