SPORTFIX Sandpit Trough – Linear Drainage for Sports Facilities

The 2 x 500 mm trough (7740) is a drainage element designed for sandpits at athletics venues, meeting World Athletics requirements. Its construction prevents sand from migrating onto the track, maintaining surface cleanliness.

The channel is made of plastic, and the cover is made of white plastic, featuring an automatic locking mechanism that holds it securely in place on the trough. The element has a length of 1000 mm, is symmetrical and simple in shape, with an integrated grate. The clear width of the channel is 100 mm.

The ability to trim allows the trough to be adapted to the dimensions of the jump pit without the need to order custom elements. One or two rows of troughs can be installed around the sandpit. The system is compatible with SOFT curbs.

Installation requires laying the trough on a concrete foundation with a thickness of 100 mm, using concrete of class B25 F200, W6, P4, followed by grouting with a cementitious mortar. The grouting height should be 30–50 mm, in accordance with the manufacturer's recommendations.
