CAN-BUS industrial automation system cable 1x2x0.34 internal for permanent installation 801572
CAN-BUS cable for industrial automation systems
This high-quality cable is designed for reliable data transmission in CAN (Control Area Network) networks. Designed for permanent installation inside buildings, it is ideal for industrial automation applications where precision and communication stability are key. The cable construction provides high performance and resistance to interference, and careful workmanship guarantees long-lasting and trouble-free operation.
Construction and properties
The cable features a twisted construction with two cores of 0.34 mm² cross-section. The cores are made of unplated copper (AWG 22/7), ensuring good electrical conductivity. Core insulation is cellular polyethylene (PE), providing flexibility and resistance to mechanical damage. The cores are color-coded – white-brown (wh/bn) and green-yellow (gn/ye) in the 4-pair version, and white-brown (wh/br) in the 2-pair version. The cable has a copper braid screen, which minimizes the impact of electromagnetic interference on the signal. The outer jacket made of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) provides protection against external factors and mechanical damage. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 6.5 mm. The color of the outer jacket is violet, close to RAL 4001, which facilitates identification.
Electrical and mechanical parameters
The cable meets the CAN Bus standards according to ISO 11898-2 and the non-flammability standard EN 50265-2-1, guaranteeing safe use. The characteristic impedance is 120 Ohm ± 10%, and the core resistance is a maximum of 57 Ohm/km. Insulation resistance is a minimum of 5 GOhm x km, and loop resistance is a maximum of 114 Ohm/km. Mutual capacitance is 40 nF/km for the 4-pair version and 58 nF/km for the 2-pair version. The operating voltage is 30 V, and the test voltage is 2 kV. The cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -20°C to +70°C during both installation and operation. The minimum bending radius is 98 mm or 120 mm depending on the cable construction.
Application
The CAN-BUS cable is used in industrial automation systems where reliable communication between control devices and sensors is required. It is ideal for permanent indoor installations, such as machine control systems, measuring devices or process monitoring systems. Due to its construction and technical parameters, this cable is perfect for applications requiring high data transmission precision and resistance to interference. Remember to limit the cable length to a maximum of 40 meters with full data throughput in accordance with the CAN Bus specification.
