Flexible cable SY-JZ 4G1.5 – protection and flexibility in one

This flexible SY-JZ 4G1.5 cable with steel braiding is a solid solution for applications requiring mechanical and chemical resistance. This cable, made of copper conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², is perfect for both industrial and internal installations. Its construction ensures reliability and long-term operation in harsh conditions.

Construction and properties

The cable is characterized by a construction that provides high flexibility and resistance to damage. Twisted, stranded copper conductors are insulated with special PVC (Z 7225), and their identification is done using digital numbering. The four conductors are surrounded by a steel braid that protects against mechanical damage and corrosion – galvanizing further protects the braid against rust, also enabling soldering. The transparent outer PVC coating allows for visual inspection of the braid condition without the need for disassembly. The cable is metered, making it easy to precisely adjust the length to the installation needs.

Additionally, the materials used in production are silicone-free, cadmium-free, and do not contain substances that interfere with painting. The cable has passed PVC self-extinguishing and flame-retardant tests (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2/ IEC 60332-1), confirming its safety of use. It is compliant with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking).

The SY-JZ 4G1.5 cable is used in:

Important operating parameters of the cable: the rated voltage is 500 V. Within the temperature range, the cable maintains flexibility from -15°C to +80°C, and in a stationary state, it can operate from -40°C to +80°C. The minimum bending radius for flexible operation is 20 x the outer diameter of the cable, and for fixed installation – 6 x the outer diameter of the cable. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 10 mm, the insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km, and the radiation resistance reaches up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad).

This cable is resistant to oils and many chemical compounds. A version with colored conductors (SY-JB) and a version for clean rooms are also available – this should be specified when ordering.
