Construction and properties

Cable F-CY-JZ 20G0,5 has been designed with durability and functionality in mind. It consists of stranded copper cores, insulated with PVC, twisted in parallel. An additional layer of insulating foil reduces the outer diameter of the cable, and a dense copper braid provides effective shielding against interference. The whole is surrounded by a durable outer PVC jacket, resistant to abrasion and mechanical damage.

The cable is distinguished by a construction that ensures flexibility and resistance to bending thanks to the use of 20 stranded copper cores of class 5. The insulation made of special PVC (Z 7225) guarantees good electrical insulation and temperature resistance. Effective shielding against electromagnetic interference (EMC) is provided by a copper braid. A durable PVC outer jacket (TM2) protects the cable from mechanical damage and external influences. Numbered cores facilitate identification during installation and servicing. The compact size (outer diameter approximately 12.2 mm) makes it easier to route the cable in tight spaces.

Technical parameters and application

Cable F-CY-JZ 20G0,5 meets the standards DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51/ DIN EN 50525-2-51 and the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking). It is designed to operate at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C in a stationary manner and from -10°C to +80°C during flexible operation. The rated voltage is 500V, and the core cross-section is 0.5 mm². The insulation resistance is min. 20 MOhm x km, which guarantees safe operation of the installation. This cable is also characterized by high radiation resistance – up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad). It is ideal for use in mechanical engineering, automation, control systems and electronics, especially where data transmission in control circuits or as a signal cable in computer systems is required.
