Flexible control cable with screen

F-CY-JZ 4G0.5 cable is a flexible, shielded cable designed for data transmission in industrial control circuits and as a signal cable in computer systems and electronics. The construction using insulating foil minimizes the outer diameter and weight of the cable, while the dense braid ensures stable signal transmission without interference. The cable is particularly recommended for applications requiring resistance to external factors and flexibility.

Construction and properties

The cable is made of stranded copper conductors, class 5 (multi-strand flexible), insulated with PVC. The conductors are black with white numerical printing for easy identification. In the case of versions with a yellow-green protective conductor, it is located in the outer layer. The twisted conductors are arranged in parallel under an insulating foil and surrounded by a copper braid screen, providing reduction of electromagnetic interference. The whole is covered with a durable outer PVC coating in gray color (RAL 7001). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 6.5 mm.

The cable is characterized by high resistance to oils and chemicals, and the materials used do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances hindering painting. It meets the standards regarding self-extinguishing and flame retardancy (DIN VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2/ IEC 60332-1). The cable is metered for convenient dispensing during installation.

Operating parameters and safety

F-CY-JZ 4G0.5 cable maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range – from -10°C to +80°C during installation and from -40°C to +80°C after installation (without vibration). The rated voltage U is 500 V. The cable is designed in accordance with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and is electromagnetically compatible (EMC). For optimal protection against interference, it is recommended to ensure a wide, bilateral contact of the copper braid with the terminals (e.g. cable glands).
