Control and power cable PVC, shielded F-CY-JZ 5G0,5 mm² grey, black numbered cores acc. to DIN VDE 0293-334 16323
Flexible cable F-CY-JZ 5G0.5 is a high-quality shielded cable designed for data transmission in control circuits and as a signal cable in computer systems and electronics. The cable's construction with insulating foil minimizes its outer diameter and weight, while the dense braid ensures stable signal transmission without interference.
Construction and properties
This cable is characterized by a solid construction, using un-tinned copper strands twisted according to DIN VDE 0295 cl. 5, BS 6360 cl. 5 and IEC 60228 cl. 5 standards. The strand insulation is made of special PVC Z 7225, and the black strands are permanently marked with white numbers for easy identification. The yellow-green protective strand (in versions from 3 strands) is located in the outer layer. The twisted strands are arranged in parallel and additionally secured with insulating foil and a screen of tinned copper wires (coverage approx. 85%). The whole is surrounded by a durable outer jacket made of special PVC TM2, in gray color (RAL 7001). The cable is supplied in meter lengths.
Additionally, this cable is oil-resistant and resistant to chemicals, and the materials used do not contain silicone, cadmium or substances that interfere with painting. It also has a certificate of conformity with the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE).
Operating parameters and safety
The F-CY-JZ 5G0.5 cable maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range – from -10°C to +80°C during installation and from -40°C to +80°C after installation (without vibration). The rated voltage U is 500 V, and the test voltage strand/strand is 4000 V, while strand/screen – 2000 V. The insulation resistance is min. 20 MOhm x km. The minimum bending radius during operation is 10 x cable diameter (flexible) or 5 x cable diameter (when laid permanently). The cable is resistant to radiation up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (up to 80 Mrad). The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 6.9 mm.
The use of a bilateral and extensive contact of the copper braid with the terminals (e.g. cable glands) optimizes electromagnetic compatibility (EMC).
