Flexible shielded control cable – reliable signal transmission

This flexible Y-CY-0B cable with a cross-section of 2x0.75 mm² is an ideal solution for applications in control, regulation, mechanical engineering, and electronics. It provides effective protection against interference thanks to the screen made of copper wires, guaranteeing stable transmission of signals and pulses. The construction with PVC insulation increases mechanical resistance, and the flexible design allows operation under medium mechanical stress.

Construction and properties for professionals

The cable has been designed for demanding applications. Twisted copper conductors according to DIN VDE 0295 cl. 5, BS 6360 cl. 5 and IEC 60228 cl. 5 standards ensure good conductivity and flexibility. Insulation made of special PVC (Z 7225) and an external coating made of transparent PVC protect against external factors. A dense shielding braid covers approximately 85% of the surface, minimizing the risk of electromagnetic interference. The cable is metered for convenient dispensing and installation.

Additionally, the cable is resistant to oils and chemicals (according to the manufacturer's technical information table), and the materials used are silicone-free, cadmium-free and do not interfere with painting. The cable meets the requirements of the Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU (CE marking) and has passed PVC self-extinguishing and flame-retardant tests (VDE 0482-332-1-2, DIN EN 60332-1-2/ IEC 60332-1).

Operating parameters and temperature range

The cable retains its properties over a wide temperature range: from -15°C to +80°C during installation and from -40°C to +80°C during operation (without vibration). The rated voltage U/U0 is 500/300 V up to a cross-section of 1.5 mm² and 750/450 V from a cross-section of 2.5 mm². The minimum bending radius is 10x cable diameter during dynamic operation and 5x cable diameter during fixed installation. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 7.7 mm.
