Construction and Application
The cable consists of two pairs of wires: one for data transmission (AWG 24) and the other for power supply (AWG 22). The wires are made of tinned copper, guaranteeing good conductivity and corrosion resistance. Wire insulation is made of PE (polyethylene), and the outer jacket of FRNC (halogen-free polyethylene), ensuring safety in case of fire – limiting the emission of toxic gases. This cable is ideal for applications requiring high reliability and resistance to interference, such as control systems, robotics, or production machines.
Technical Characteristics and Standards
The cable has an outer diameter of approximately 6.9 mm and is available in a violet color close to RAL 4001. It meets ODVA DeviceNet standards as well as standards for halogen-free (IEC 60754-1) and flame retardancy (EN 50265-2-1), confirming its safety of use. The wire resistance is a maximum of 22.6 Ohm/km, and the insulation resistance is a minimum of 0.2 GOhm x km. Mutual capacitance is approximately 39 nF/km. The cable withstands a voltage test of 2 kV. The operating temperature range is from -40°C to +80°C during stationary operation and from -25°C to +80°C during installation. The cable construction includes aluminum foil shielding and a copper wire braid, providing high resistance to electromagnetic interference.
