Flexible cable for dynamic applications
This 42-core m.FLEX 512-PUR flexible cable is the ideal solution for demanding applications in mechanical engineering, robotics and moving machine parts. It is designed for repeated bending, ensuring reliable operation even in extreme conditions. Its construction with modified PP insulation and a wear-resistant PUR outer jacket guarantees a long service life and minimizes the risk of damage.
Construction and properties
The cable stands out with its advanced construction, which translates into exceptional flexibility and resistance:
- Cores: Made of unannealed copper, stranded twisted, providing high flexibility and fatigue strength. Class 6 according to DIN VDE 0295 means that these are very flexible stranded cores.
- Insulation: Modified PP (polypropylene) is used, which provides good electrical and mechanical properties. The cores are black with white number printing for easy identification.
- Protection: Twisted cores in parallel with an additional protective braid (up to 4 mm²) increase resistance to mechanical damage.
- Outer jacket: Durable polyurethane (PUR) jacket provides resistance to abrasion, oils, chemicals and weathering. The material is halogen-free, increasing safety in the event of a fire.
- Protective conductor: An option with a yellow-green protective conductor (G marking) is available for additional installation safety.
Parameters and applications
The m.FLEX 512-PUR cable is designed to operate in a wide temperature range: from -40°C to +80°C (stationary) and from -30°C to +80°C (flexible). The rated voltage is 500 V, and the core cross-section is 1.5 mm². The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 24 mm.
Thanks to its construction and properties, this cable is used in:
