Flexible cable for dynamic applications

This high-quality m.FLEX 512-PUR 50G1,5 flexible cable is the ideal solution for demanding applications in mechanical engineering, robotics and anywhere frequent bending occurs. Designed for use in energy chains, it provides a reliable connection even in extreme conditions. Its construction with a halogen-free polyurethane (PUR) outer jacket guarantees safety and durability.

Construction and properties

The cable consists of 50 flexible copper conductors with a cross-section of 1.5 mm², insulated with modified PP. The conductors are twisted in parallel and secured with a special protective braid (up to 4 mm²). The outer jacket made of TMPU provides resistance to abrasion, tearing and chemical influences. The protective conductor (yellow-green color) is located on the outside of the cable, increasing safety. All this makes the cable exceptionally resistant to mechanical and dynamic loads.

• Exceptional flexibility: thanks to the twisted strand construction and flexible conductors, the cable performs perfectly in applications requiring frequent bending.
• Resistance to external factors: PUR outer jacket protects against oils, solvents, acids, alkalis and UV radiation.
• Safety: the absence of halogen in the insulation minimizes the risk of toxic gas formation in the event of a fire (compliant with IEC 60332-1-2).
• Durability: high resistance to abrasion and tearing ensures a long service life of the cable even in harsh working conditions.
• Wide temperature range: the cable retains its properties in the temperature range from -40°C to +80°C (stationary operation) and from -30°C to +80°C (dynamic operation).
• Low friction resistance: PP insulation of the conductors minimizes friction resistance during bending, which translates into a longer cable life.

The m.FLEX 512-PUR 50G1,5 cable is characterized by a rated voltage of 500 V and an outer diameter of approximately 26.2 mm. It is intended for use in moving parts of machines, robotics and anywhere high flexibility and resistance to mechanical loads are required.
