Construction and parameters – what is worth knowing?

The JZ-500 cable features a construction with 14 strands with a cross-section of 0.5 mm², made of stranded copper (class 5). The strands are insulated with polyvinyl chloride (PVC), and the entire cable is surrounded by an outer jacket of the same material. The strands are black and numbered according to DIN VDE 0293-334, which facilitates identification and connection. The outer diameter of the cable is approximately 9.5 mm. The rated voltage is 300/500 V, making it suitable for many standard electrical installations. The fire reaction class is Eca, providing a basic level of fire safety.

This cable is designed to operate at temperatures from -40°C to +80°C (after installation) and from -15°C to +80°C during installation. It is resistant to oils and meets the requirements of IEC 60332-1-2 regarding self-extinguishing and flame retardancy. The insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km, and the test voltage is 4000 V. The minimum bending radius is 7.5 x cable diameter during flexible operation and 4 x diameter during stationary operation.
