This grey PVC cable JZ-500 with 8 cores of 0.5 mm² cross-section is a versatile solution for both professional installers and end-users. It is ideal for control and power installations where flexibility and resistance to environmental conditions are required. Black cores, numbered according to DIN VDE 0293-334, facilitate identification and connection, resulting in faster and more precise installation.

Construction and properties ensuring long-term operation

The cable is made of high-quality polyvinyl chloride (PVC), both in the core insulation and the outer sheath. This ensures not only good flexibility but also resistance to abrasion and mechanical damage. Flexible stranded cores (class 5) guarantee easy routing and connection even in tight spaces. Additionally, the cable is characterized by high resistance to radiation up to 80 x 10⁶ cJ/kg (80 Mrad), which extends its lifespan in harsh working conditions. Please note the operating temperature range: from -15°C to +80°C during installation and from -40°C to +80°C during stationary operation.

Applications and compliance with standards

The JZ-500 cable is ideal for use in dry, wet and humid rooms (but not outdoors) under medium mechanical loads. It is perfect as a cable for control and measuring equipment in industrial devices and in flexible connections of slowly moving systems. It meets the requirements of DIN VDE 0285-525-2-51 / DIN EN 50525-2-51 and has a fire reaction class Eca according to EN 13501-6. The rated voltage U/U0 is 500/300 V, and the test voltage is as high as 4000 V, confirming its safety of use. The insulation resistance is at least 20 MOhm x km.
